On the initiative of the Department of Culture, Youth and Family of the Poltava City Council and the Department of Education of the Poltava City Council, a city-wide informational and educational campaign "Schoolchildren in the Museum" was held from June 8 to 27, 2023 during the period of preschool day camps. The purpose of the campaign is to organize meaningful leisure time for students of general educational institutions.
The action was supported by all museum institutions of the communal sphere of city administration. During the campaign, the museums worked without days off. The participants of the promotion were given a preferential discount of 50% of the ticket price of the entrance fee to the museum.
The total number of students who took advantage of the conditions of the promotion is about 500 people, replenishment of special. accounts of museum institutions was reduced by almost 10,000 hryvnias. The most visited were the Art Museum (art gallery) named after M. Yaroshenko and Poltava Battlefield State Historical and Cultural Reserve.
