An off-site meeting of the Coordination Council for Tourism and Resort Development under the Poltava Regional State Administration was held in the village of Opishnia, near Poltava, attended by representatives of the Tourism and Cultural Heritage Division of the Culture Directorate within the Department of Culture and Youth of the Poltava Regional State Administration.

The event brought together representatives of government bodies, the tourism sector and the business community to discuss current trends in the development of tourism in the Poltava region in 2026.

During the meeting, participants focused on key issues, including:
— the implementation of current tourism projects in the region;
— the promotion of ‘quiet’ holidays based on practical experience;
— the specific challenges facing the tourism sector during wartime;
— the development of new areas, including hippotherapy as a component of tourism appeal.

Vitalii Pavlov also delivered a presentation in which he outlined the experience of implementing ‘quiet’ restorative practices in municipal museums in the city of Poltava, emphasising their importance for visitors’ mental relaxation and recovery.

Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experiences and successful practices already being implemented in the Poltava region.

As part of the field trip, participants also visited the Opishnia Community Tourist Information Centre and familiarised themselves with the OBRIY village tourist attraction.

Such events help to establish effective cooperation between representatives of the tourism sector and foster a shared vision for the region’s future development.
