In these times of constant challenges and stress, it is particularly important to find opportunities for recovery—both physical and emotional. It is with this aim in mind that the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (SATD) has launched the project "Journey to Yourself. Paths to Recovery", designed to help Ukrainians find inner balance through the experience of travel, culture and mindful relaxation.
The project brings together various types of activities — from cultural and educational tours and museum experiences to psychological and art therapy sessions. Its main idea is to create a safe space where every participant can recharge, reflect on their own experiences and find new sources of strength.
Particular attention is paid to the role of cultural heritage as a tool for recovery. Museums, historical sites and natural spaces become not only places of learning, but also environments for mental relaxation. Through interaction with history, art and nature, participants are given the opportunity to slow down and feel a connection with themselves and their surroundings.
The "Journey to Oneself" project also envisages the creation of a national digital platform that will bring together an entire ecosystem of participants — from hotels and nature reserves to cultural institutions and craft workshops. All will operate according to shared quality standards and adhere to the philosophy of silence.
In this approach, silence is viewed not merely as the absence of sound, but as a unique space and experience that helps to reduce information overload, cognitive fatigue and social pressure. It is in such an environment that a person has the opportunity to slow down, restore their inner balance and feel better about themselves.
The project ‘Journey to Yourself: Paths to Recovery’ is open to a wide range of participants — anyone who feels the need for recovery, support and new meaning.
We invite anyone interested to join the project!
