This year, while preparing the program for the 122nd anniversary of the opening of the monument to Ivan Kotliarevskyi, museum workers decided to supplement the traditional thematic excursions with a literary salon featuring young Poltava writers, poets, and musicians who are inspired by Kotliarevskyi's personality and work.

After all, it was the “cheerful sage from Poltava” who was the first to establish the Ukrainian language as a literary language, setting an example for future generations to follow and contributing to the formation of national identity. It is symbolic that in the XXI century, creative young people, following in Kotliarevskyi's footsteps, are continuing his traditions — turning to the vernacular, realism, and closeness to life.

Guests of the festival had the opportunity to hear vocal compositions by Igor Lavryk, get acquainted with the work of young writer Anna Serdiuk, and taste korovai and fragrant varenukha. The highlight of the program was the premiere of the play “First Love” based on Anna Serdiuk's humorous play, performed by actors from the museum theater.

The event took place as part of the “Land of Inspiration” project, which created a cozy open-air space where kindness, mutual respect, and creative brotherhood reign supreme. Museum visitors were left with vivid impressions, positive emotions, and the opportunity to sincerely communicate with the talented youth of Poltava.
