"KNIGHT OF MORALITY" - a literary and musical meeting

On July 27, in the Poltava Literary and Memorial Museum of V. Korolenko, a literary and musical meeting "KNIGHT OF MORALITY" was held on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the birth of Volodymyr Korolenko and the 95th anniversary of the opening of the literary and memorial museum of V. Kororelenko
The festivities began with the laying of flowers at the grave of V. Korolenko in Park "Peremoha", which was attended by First Deputy Mayor Valerii Parkhomenko, Rector of Poltava National Pedagogical University named after V.Korolenka Maryna Hryniova, representatives of the museum community, historians, local historians, the public of the city.
As part of the commemoration of commemorative and jubilee dates, a special redemption of a Ukrposhta postage stamp and envelope dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the reconstruction of Volodymyr Korolenko's dacha in the village took place in the courtyard of the Korolenko Museum. Huts (now - the village of Malyi Pereviz of Myrhorod district) of Poltava region. Pavlo Shestopal, the network director of the Poltava Directorate of the Ukrposhta Joint Stock Company, and Antonina Antonets, deputy general director of the Agroecology PE, joined the repayment ceremony.
Leading researcher of the Poltava Literary and Memorial Museum V. Korolenka Liudmyla Olkhovska and Associate Professor of the Department of Plant Protection of the Poltava State Agrarian University Viktor Samorodov presented the scientific and journalistic publication "Echoes of V. Korolenka in Hutky". The story introduces the reader to the place of creative inspiration of the writer, his life as a summer resident based on the memories of his contemporaries and rich documentary and illustrative material.
The book will be distributed among library institutions, in particular - the Central Library of the Poltava City Territorial Community and the Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library named after I.P. Kotliarevskyi.
Colleagues from the Zhytomyr Literary and Memorial Museum of V. Korolenko, which this year celebrates the 50th anniversary of its opening.
On this day, an exhibition of illustrations to the story of V. Korolenko "Blind musician" of the honored master of folk art of Ukraine Yevhen Piliuhin. The musical part of the event was provided by the performances of students of Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University (art director R. Khrystychenko) and students of Poltava City School of Arts "Small Academy of Arts" named after R. Kyrychenko.
