"Unconquered Poltava" - an underground Komsomol youth organization. Created in November 1941 in Poltava. It consisted of 20 people, including one communist, 5 Komsomol members and 14 non-union youth. One of the leaders of the organization was a pioneer of Poltava secondary school №10 Komsomol member OK Ubiyvovk. The "Unconquered Poltava Woman" was also joined by underground groups operating in Machukhy, Abazivka, Maryanivka, and Shkurupii.
The organization had two radios, with the help of which the reports of the Radio Information Bureau were received and distributed among the population. In addition, members of the group produced and distributed anti-fascist leaflets. In total, up to 2,000 copies of postcards were distributed. A group of patriots also took part in the release of Soviet prisoners of war, disrupted several trips of young people to Germany, and prepared acts of sabotage.
On May 6, 1942, the Gestapo arrested the most active members of the organization, including the headquarters of the Unconquered Poltava Woman. Among them was Ubiyvovk. They were all shot; the organization ceased its activities.
In 1965, Lyalya Ubiyvovk was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. In 1967 a monument to the Invincibles of Poltava was erected in Poltava.
On the granite pedestal (height 4.5 meters) there is a bust (height 1.55 meters) of the leader of the group, Hero of the Soviet Union Lyalya Ubiyvovk.
